What you can expect
You will be welcomed! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we would love to welcome you to our church. Hopefully our website helps you to find out what you need to know and answers some questions you may have but feel free to Contact Us directly if you need something else or just wanted to talk to someone.
Here is some information about our Sunday service which you might find helpful if you're new to church.
Where and When
We currently meet on Sunday mornings at 11.00am, you can find us on Remembrance Road Willenhall Coventry, check out our Contact Us page for a map if you're not sure where we are. We have plenty of room for cars to park.
What Should I Expect When I Visit?
You will be welcomed by one of our members who will be able to answer any of your questions and show you around. On a typical Sunday we have around 20 minutes of worship (generally singing) and then either one of our Pastors will preach for around 20 - 30 minutes followed most weeks by the communion and more worship, a typical service lasts for about 75 minutes. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are served afterwards which is a great opportunity to get to know people, and to ask any questions.
What About My Children?
We have a Sunday School, for children (from age 4-11), they normally join us for the worship and then leave during the last song. Equally if a child wants to stay in the main service with their parent then that's fine as well, we are quite relaxed and embrace families with no expectation for children to sit in silence - in fact some don't even sit for very long.
What Else Should I Know?
We are a quite relaxed group so expect to be welcomed when you come along. There isn't a dress code and you don't even have to join in with what's going on! However opportunity is given for people to join in with prayers, Bible reading should they wish to. If you'd like to speak to someone to get more information please visit our Contact Us page.
What Do People Say
My thoughts on the Church is that its great I have been worshipping there for almost 35 years and have sat on church council a couple of times having recently stood down. I look upon it as my Spiritual home and have some very special friendships amongst the Congregation. During the lock down Pastors John and Kirk have done an amazing job with Sermons daily Prayers and Bible Readings and Bible Studies also running a Midweek group all electronically. It has been a real blessing to me especially when shielding for 12 weeks and John Mc Farlane keeping the church safe. Thanks everyone
WFC is a company of Bible believing Christians who love to gather together to worship God, their Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, His Son, our Saviour. The love of God is evident among them and there is always the warmest of welcomes awaiting any strangers who enter the church building for any of its activities
I have loved being a member of Willenhall Free Church for many years now. If you look at our building, you will see that it doesn't look much like a church in the traditional sense, but for me, it's what happens inside the building that really matters. The people are a warm, friendly group of individuals, participating in the life of the church of Christ, who love God, and one another.
We worship God together on Sunday mornings, enjoying relaxed and interesting exploration of the Bible, in a way that helps us to understand what God expects of us, and how to live our lives abundantly.
